So I wasn't sure about it at first, seemed like alot of waste, and that in the long run, I would be spending a ton of money on the cleaner that goes with it, but honestly, the Swifter, is the best 24 bucks I have spent since being a new mother.
My old apartment had a very small linoleum area, including tiled bathrooms, both small spaces. It was a pain in the back (literally) after delivering to go through all the work after labor of filling up a bucket of hot soapy water, lifting it, bringing it to the kitchen, getting the mop, mopping, then having to empty the mom water, filling the bucket up again with clean water, mopping up the excess, and then dumping THAT water to do it ALL over again for the bathrooms... Just writing about it makes me tired and sweaty.
After we moved, it was an even bigger chore, as not only was the second bathroom upstairs, but the kitchen was three times the size of my old kitchen. Needless to say, it got dirty more often than I liked, not to mention, it seemed no matter how MUCH I mopped, it never got clean... I was baffled, I would literally get down on my hands and knees with a spray bottle of cleaner and a paper towel to do a clean check, and still come up with massive amounts of dirt! It was frustrating, I would walk around, after mopping and my feet would still get dirty. YUCKSVILLE! This all with a toddler was no good, Ben got dirty too! Something had to be done. So my husband suggested maybe we should get a Swifter WetJet.

After getting the swifter, which comes with a small container of cleaning fluid and several cleaning pads, I could NOT believe my eyes. The floor actually felt clean to walk on! It was amazing! No mops, no water, no heavy bucket, I feel like an infomercial talking about this but truly, I wish I had bought one AGES ago.
After my delivery I had alot of back issues from all the pushing and pulling up. I dealt with serious back problems, and had to do stretches and see a physical therapist to boot. Had I had one of these, I could have saved myself a TON of money having to have a cleaner come in to clean the floors for me.
The cleaning fluids apparently come in a variety of kinds, for linoleum, wood flooring, and an anti-bacterial formula. I highly recommend this for any mom, or person who is simply fed up with all the time and effort of bucket mopping.
The only key to making this a full success however, is making sure you sweep thoroughly before swiffering. And the only downside, is you DO have to buy pads, and AA batteries. However when you add it up, the cost of hot water, and eventually having to get a whole new mop (or mop head replacements), and floor cleaner, it really adds up to the same cost.
What is also awesome about it, is that even a small spill can easily be cleaned up through the week. I tend to just use one pad a week for a big clean, but you can use it through the week too, and without having to get on your hands and knees, which trust me, if you are a mom, you get enough wear and tear on those knees as it is!
