Okay Folks here it is!
Good Toys and how to get them...
There is a line of toys out right now called Just B. Toys that I LOVE. You can get them online at Amazon, or if you have a Target nearby they actually sell them cheaper. My favorite kids/baby toy is the drum set. Got mine for 20 bucks at Target, it includes 2 egg shakers, drum stix that also can be used to rub together and make a fun sound, a bumble bee maraca and clacker, bug tambourine, and jingle bell bug. Everything fits neatly into the drum itself, so it's a great space saver as well! I first saw this item when I was nannying in the city, and it supplied hours of fun filled activities, great for exploring sounds with your little one, and a wonderful accompaniment when listening to music at home. Not to mention B. Toys uses 100% recycled paper for packaging and soy based ink. These are amazingly creative toys, that range from an simple soft plastic building blocks, to an ABC calculator to a doctor and critter kit that will get your children exploring not only creatively, but practically.

Scout it out! Leap Frog makes this thing called SCOUT, it's a green doggy that you set up on the computer to play childrens tunes, and also program your childs name, his/her fav animal and food. If you have a girl, they have the alternate version VIOLET, which is the same dog, but purple. My baby LOVES his Scout, and when in doubt I whip Scout out, and it brings a smile to his face every time.

What's better than a big Scout, is a the Twinkle Twinkle little Scout. Got this as a gift, and it's amazing! It stays in the crib with my little man every night, if he's having trouble sleeping, it plays 10-20 minutes of environmental sounds and or lullabies, and has a little moon shaped night light that glows while it plays. Side NOTE for infants, take out the small blankie, it comes out easily and coule be a choking hazard, otherwise, it's very safe, and for me a Godsend. It's been proven that soft tunes and white noise make for a better nights sleep, I agree.

Hate Tummy Time? I tried it all for a while, but my little baby wasn't having anything to do with tummy time, until I introduced this thing. The Fisher Price Ocean Wonders Activity Mirror. It's wonderful cause when they touch it, it makes noise, and lights up on the side, AND it has a crab shaped teether ring, a squeaky clam and crunchy sound starfish. He loved me to point out the objects to him while he works on his head lifting abilities. It encourages him to also want to crawl if I put it a little out of reach.

Teach your child the ins and out of music! This cube is fantastic! It plays multiple Mozart tunes, but that's not all, on each side of the cube it shows and plays a different instrument. You can show your little one how each instrument contributes it's own sound by playing them one at a time, or adding and subtracting an instrument from orchestrated songs. Each side also has the word (spelling) of each instrument so you can say and show them the word. http://www.blogger.com/post-edit.g?blogID=4952712277689000465&postID=4111843893567308361

Okay so while I was looking around babies r' us the other day, I stumbled upon these things called sing a ma jigs! Not sure how I feel about them still, you squeeze there tummies and they go up and down in pitch to sing no particular tune. They come in a variety of pitches, from very low to very high. I don't own one yet, but something tells me I am gonna give in... http://www.thesingamajigs.com/landing.aspx
Here is a video I found on Youtube so you see these little critters in action!
